A's disable P Anderson, make other movesBaseball Betting Lines04/27/2010 - Oakland, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Oakland Athletics have placed left-hander Brett Anderson on the 15-day disabled list with left elbow inflammation and a forearm strain. The move is retroactive to April 25. Anderson, who recently signed a four-year contract, compiled a 1-1 record with a 2.35 earned run average through his first four starts of the season. He left his last turn Saturday against Cleveland after six innings because of the injuries. A rookie in 2009, Anderson posted an 11-11 record with a 4.06 earned run average in 30 starts with the A's. He struck out a team-high 150 batters against just 45 walks in 175 1/3 innings. Also on Tuesday, the team optioned righty Edwar Ramirez to Triple-A Sacramento and recalled catcher Landon Powell and infielder Steve Tolleson from Sacramento. Ramirez made six appearances in relief for Oakland, going 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in 10 innings, during which he struck out nine but issued eight walks. Powell is in his second stint with the Athletics this season and has one hit in four big league at-bats in two games. He has also played in eight games for Sacramento, batting .222 with a home run and a pair of runs batted in. Tolleson was hitting .333 in Triple-A with one long ball and eight driven in. He will be making his major league debut.
